Join us for a BASS-infused ecstatic dance journey with ONEFLOW and live drumming from RHYTHM RANGER.

ONEFLOW will be playing a multi-genre DJ set with extra servings of bass music (think house/nu-disco/drum&bass/techno/jungle/breakbeat/140/tribal etc.), alongside a range of music styles from medicine music to downtempo to electronica and more. Let your dance be a vehicle to express yourself!

What is ecstatic dance? - Ecstatic dance is a dance/movement practice to explore the feeling of moving your body freely to music. You are invited to move, play, connect, release and express. The DJ weaves the music journey through a range of tempos and styles of music. Be true to yourself and move your body as feels right for you. Ecstatic dance is a sober practice - no alcohol or drugs.

This dancefloor is a place to move with all the diverse parts of us which make us human, from feelings of joy to sadness to playfullness and beyond. Claim your freedom, open your heart & feel the music!

Ecstatic dance guidelines:

Be free – dance how you want, be free and express yourself
Be sober – arrive to the dance free of intoxicants/drugs/alcohol
Be embodied – no talking helps us to stay with our body (plenty of time for chat before/after the dance)
Be present – no phones, no cameras
Be barefoot – we dance barefoot and don't wear shoes (socks/dance shoes are ok)
Be consensual – respect boundaries and space, if it’s not a clear ‘yes’, it’s a ‘no’


--- WHEN IS IT? ---

Friday 17th May 2024

7pm - 10pm

Doors open at 7pm. Please arrive no later than 7.30pm, when we have our opening circle. This is to respect the opening circle and ensure dancers are not disturbed.

Event schedule

7 pm - Doors open, settling in, social time
7.30 pm - Opening circle
7.45 pm - Ecstatic dance journey (ONEFLOW, with live drumming from RHYTHM RANGER)
9.45 pm – Closing circle
10 pm – Open social time and hangout (until around 10.20pm)

The venue itself does not have parking but on road parking is available in the surrounding area. Glenfrome Rd and the surrounding area usually has on street parking free.



--- WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? ---

Water/bottle to stay hydrated
Clothing – bring extra warm layers you can put on or take off depending if you get hot/cold. Loose-fitting clothing is best for dancing.
Earplugs if you have sensitivity to loud music/want to protect your ears
Snacks/food if you tend to get hungry

Our event can sell out - to avoid missing out, it is best to book in advance and book early.
As long as we do not sell out of tickets, we do offer some tickets on the door. £15, cash only (please bring exact money). Please be mindful that if we sell out of tickets, we won't be able to sell you an on the door ticket.
