on Saturday 14th December. The event starts at 13:00.
As Winter Solstice approaches, we invite you to join us in a sacred gathering to honour this time of rest and renewal and deeply connect with the energies of winter.
Our ancestors celebrated the Winter Solstice as a time of rebirth, acknowledging the darkness of the longest night and offering gratitude for the return of the light. By connecting with these ancient traditions, we tap into the wisdom of living in harmony with the cycles of Earth.
This retreat will guide you through a process of reflection, release, creating space to set intentions and nurture the dreams you wish to cultivate as the days grow longer. Through guided practices, we will prepare you to emerge into the new year feeling grounded, with clarity, and deeply connected to the earth:
Folklore & Mythology: We will explore Winter Solstice myths, connecting with ancient wisdom of this time of year.
Yoga and Sound: We will ground ourselves through movement and breath giving us space to unwind and slow down.
Craft Native Saining Sticks: We will prepare native plants to bless and cleanse our spaces before the next cycle.
Sharing Circle: Connect with others in a sharing circle as we set intentions and reflect on the season's lessons.
Seasonal Snacks: Enjoy nourishing seasonal treats that ground us in the flavours of winter.
Fire Ceremony: We will gather around the fire to share songs, prayers, and release what no longer serves and celebrating the renewal of light.
“Beneath the outer manifestation of seasonal change there is also change within the subtle energies of the Earth that affect us all (consciously or unconsciously). It is an ebb and flow of outer growth and fertility, and of inner growth and regeneration. By aligning ourselves with the flow and direction of this energy, we can move with it as true inhabitants of our planet Earth..”
