Soft Spot at Bridge Farm

A event on Tuesday 5th August. The event starts at 19:00.

Soft Spot is a sharing space for any words that hold emotional resonance for you. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure, no-judgment environment where you’re free to express yourself or simply listen. No experience needed.

Bring anything: an email that touched you, a particularly poignant horoscope, a ramble from your notes app, a poem that moves you, or one you’ve written yourself. Feel free to be creative. People read things ranging from poems for their lost love, to their eBay watch list (with all the prices). Soft Spot is about connection, release, and being heard (and sometimes it’s about being silly).

If you’d like to share, just add your name to the hat, everyone who does will have a chance to read. The order of readers is chosen at random, with no pressure or hierarchy.

Everyone is welcome, with a special invitation to LGBTQ+ communities, Black and Brown communities, and other underrepresented groups.

- Doors open at 6:45, and we will begin at 7:15.
- Sober space.
- Readings happen inside the top barn (a map will be sent out before the event).
- Hot drinks and biscuits on tap.
- Accessibility: There are steps leading into the barn with a community-made ramp available, and the road leading to the barn has a slightly uneven surface.

If the ticket cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out at [email protected] for a free ticket—no one turned away due to lack of funds.
