Locals of Bristol and Bath are invited to ‘live like a tourist’ between 5th-7th May to experience the first ever ‘Residents Weekend’, which showcases both of the cities’ cultural offering.
Top concert venues, theatres, galleries, and museums including The Roman Baths, St George’s, Colston Hall and Bath Fashion Museum will all be opening their doors throughout the Residents Weekend for hundreds of free events and offers; each giving locals a unique opportunity to discover just why millions of people choose to visit each year.
With a range of talks and tours designed to enhance a first-time visit, the weekend also aims to get people into places that perhaps they’ve previously considered but is still on the ‘to-do’ list. The weekend will be a great opportunity to dip a toe in the cultural waters across the two cities.
Over 27 organisations are confirmed as taking part, with more FREE4 events and offers being added each day. Highlights include:
• Free entry to one of the UK’s leading tourist attractions, The Roman Baths, plus the Fashion Museum and the Victoria Art Gallery in Bath.
• Join in with soul classics at St George’s Bristol with Dionne Draper, renowned singer who has performed with with Basement Jaxx and Spice Girls.
