Rap, hip-hop and drill are powerful means of self-expression, but some lyrics glorify violence and reinforce harmful stereotypes. This workshop, led by violence reduction specialist, Dayton Powell, empowers artists to create uplifting lyrics while retaining the raw energy of the form.

This event is part of DIASPORA! - a new arts festival for Bristol and the South West, presented by the Diverse Artists Network (DAN).
