Bristol Choral Society with the Bristol Ensemble
This concert was originally to be performed on Saturday, 21st March at Bristol Cathedral, and was postponed until January 30th 2021. Unfortunately it has now been postponed again, due to the current COVID situation. We have a re-scheduled date of 6th November 2021. Conducted by our inspiring Hilary Campbell, this concert features the beautiful and well-known Faure's Requiem, which is a profoundly spiritual and luminescent piece about death, hope and happiness. The first half of the concert is given over to Stravinsky's beautiful 'Symphony of Psalms' and a piano duo - his warmtime sonata for two pianos.
Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding at this very difficult time. In the meantime, Bristol Choral Society has released its new CD on the Delphian Label, 'The Big Picture', with music by Judith Weir, Cecilia McDowall and Bob Chilcott.
