Legend | Dir: Ron Underwood | 1990 | USA | 96 mins | Cert. 12A

Homaging the classic B-Movies of the 1950s, Ron Underwood’s beloved monster movie sees natives of a small isolated town defend themselves against strange underground creatures which are killing them one by one.

Originally called ‘Land Sharks’, Tremors sees Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon as dim-witted, but loveable, cowboy handymen who discover the monsters and then spend the rest of the time attempting to survive whilst trying to figure out how to turn the creatures’ existence into a profitable business venture.

With its blend of comedy and monster movie tropes, plus spectacular practical visual effects, it is no surprise that the Tremors franchise has continued to grow in popularity over the years with, at the time of writing, six sequels and one short-lived TV series from 2003!

For its 35th anniversary, Forbidden Worlds Film Festival will be putting on a special screening introduced by producer Gale Anne Hurd along with Jonathan Melville, author of Seeking Perfection: The Unofficial Guide to Tremors.

Entry requirements: 14+
