With an ever-increasing sense of dread, Long Weekend is one of the 70s most seminal eco-horrors as an obnoxious couple exhibit a total disregard for the world around them.
Attempting to resurrect their failing marriage, Peter (John Hargreaves) and Marcia (Briony Behets) set out on a camping trip to a deserted stretch of the Australian coastline in the hope that a long weekend in the sunshine will help them patch up their differences. However, as they trample through the countryside, destroying everything in their tracks, carelessly scattering rubbish and shooting anything that moves, it isn’t look before Mother Nature seeks vengeance.
This suspense-filled eco-horror is the perfect start to our Ozploitation celebration as all of Australia’s weird and wonderful wildlife turn their sights on two arrogant yuppies - but will they be allowed to leave… or will they be punished for their crimes?
