Mario Bava - the ‘Master of Italian Horror’ - had established the giallo template of sex, thrills and blood spills with The Girl Who Knew Too Much (1963), but it was Blood and Black Lace that cemented the genre in the minds of audiences, influencing and inspiring generations of horror film-makers.

Dubbed as one of the most influential horrors ever made, Blood and Black Lace establishes some of the popular tropes of the genre - black gloves, bright primary colours and beautiful women - as a masked, shadowy killer brutally slays the models of a top-end fashion house in Rome.

We will be screening the recent Arrow restoration of the original camera negative and presented here in its original uncut form.
