Naissance at Bristol Music Club
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Stunning third stream duo melding the classical minimalism of Arvo Pärt and the high peaks of ECM. Jon Lloyd’s delicate, breathy sax tones interlock with John Law’s ethereal piano lines, criss-crossing sacred new ambient territory for open-minded chamber jazz fans. Nothing short of a total revelation FFO: Jan Garbarek, Nils Petter Molvær, Keith Jarrett, JOW."

A gig on Friday 5th September. The event starts at 18:00.

Jon Lloyd (saxophones) and John Law (piano/samples) present their duo project Naissance. Music that lies between composed and improvised, music which searches for the simplest way to say something of substance. Music between jazz/ambient and contemporary classical/minimalism. Music of almost meditational character. "Music of contemplation and renewal".
Venue: BRISTOL MUSIC CLUB, 76 St Paul's Rd, Clifton, Bristol BS8 1LP

The PPianissimo Series is generously sponsored by Arts Council England and All Instruments, Westbury.
