But, now that she's fully in the classical club (multiple Decca releases and sell-out concerts), it's time for her to prove that she's up to scratch at The Bristol Proms.
The Russian pianist is one of the most exciting talents in the classical world and guaranteed to deliver a passionate performance no matter the material. As her most recent Decca release (of Michael Nyman works) attests, she is really hitting her professional stride - this concert will be a rare chance to see her in full flow.
Lisitsa will be performing works from her new album of Nyman pieces, as well as Liszt arrangements of Schubert songs.
