Shades of Colour at Bristol Old Vic
Pay What You Can

A event held at Bristol Old Vic on Friday 24th May. The event starts at 20:00.

Marley Small and MAYK Present Shades of Colour

Join us as we pass the mic to two exciting emerging creatives, Marley Small and Aish Humphreys, who will be curating an eclectic series of live events and performances especially for you, as part of this festival.

Taking place in Bristol Old Vic’s Weston Studio, this is an invitation to step into the creative minds of some of Bristol’s most inspiring young creatives.

Marley Small presents an interactive audio/visual performance fusing sound and art to inspire creation, reflection, and exploration.

In this immersive piece, talented Bristol musicians Irish Mellow, Iambee and EJ:AKIN work together with visual artist Holly Mingo to guide you through a mesmerising journey through sonic landscapes and stunning visual illustrations.

“This Studio Takeover is about how we open up space for eclectic curatorial voices as part of our festival programming. This year we are teasing some of this thinking into practice by sharing a platform for bright talent to curate a series of live events as part of the main festival programme. This is part of a longer-term lean into how we create space for aspirational curators, producers and arts leaders in a meaningful way that has a real legacy.” Kate and Matthew, co-directors, MAYK

Supported by the Nisbet Fund, in partnership with Rising Arts Agency and Saffron.
