Get Your Ticket

A event held at Bristol Old Vic on Monday 11th December. The event starts at 10:00.

GATHER UP invites different Bristol-based practitioners to lead morning classes to support the continuous training and development of experienced movers and professional dance artists. Morning Class takes place weekly on a Monday morning in term time.

MORNING CLASS WITH BATEL MAGEN

My class is aimed to generate heat and embodied connection to movement by engaging in a very physical and energised contemporary technique class. During the class we will roll and swing and jump and lean and twist and leap and melt and dive and dance through the space. I will guide you through a collection of movement phrases based on my contemporary technique style which is eclectic and dynamic. I offer a range of music to help stimulate. I encourage embodied breathing to support the movement and connection.
We will move in and out of the floor. My technique classes do not incorporate touch.
I am able to offer adjustments if needed, however these classes do require some experience in contemporary dance techniques.

Image description: In a black vest and dark blue tracksuit bottoms, Batel is on her side on the ground. She looks ahead and her long hair is touching the floor. One shoulder and upper arm are in contact with the floor, and so are both her feet. Her pelvis and legs are off the ground, in a stepping forward motion. Other dancers are moving with her in the studio.
