'All the money went and there was nothing to buy food with. So Mothers and Fathers tried to find things they could get rid of, things that ate, things that drank or things that needed to be kept warm.

The dogs went first. '

In a recession-ravaged city, what do you do when the money runs out? Based on the extraordinary true story of Ivan Mishukov, Ivan and the Dogs is a spellbinding story of survival, conjuring the streets of Moscow in the 1990s through the eyes of a child.

Bristol-based Hattie Naylor's heart-wrenching play was developed through our Writer's Room and first showcased as part of January's Bristol Ferment.

*There will be a post-show discussion on Wednesday 17th November lasting approx. 30 mins.
