Now in its third year, Bristol Proms is back, continuing its tradition of inviting world-class artists to explore the classical repertoire in an informal, accessible atmosphere, and embracing the intimacy and unparalleled acoustics of Bristol Old Vic's Theatre. This year's line-up features today's most celebrated performers including Daniel Hope, Milos Karadaglic, Alison Balsom and Pumeza Matshikiza.
Virtuoso soprano Pumeza Matshikiza (Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Bristol Proms 2014) reflects on her life, her passions and her music with long-time collaborator and musical provocateur Charles Hazlewood. Repertoire will include songs from the South African Mysteries, Miriam Mikeba, Bizet, Faure and Puccini.
