He's one of the most exciting pianists in the world, and he's coming to the Bristol Proms.

The rising piano star tackles a theme of piano music from just before the First World War in what promises to be a thrilling and emotional evening.

His first album went straight to the top of the classical charts, and now's your chance to hear the rising superstar of the piano Ji Liu in the uniquely intimate setting of the Bristol Old Vic.

The music of Prokofiev, Debussy and others became so synonymous with the time that preceded the Great War, and their piano works especially make up what might be called The Last Gasp of Romanticism before the storm and stress of the 20th Century fully took hold.

With Liu as a guide through these amazing works, this is sure to be a stellar concert that takes you on a journey through the first years of the 20th Century and the works of genius it produced.
