Bristol Photo Festival Family Tour

Bristol Photo Festival Family Tour at Bristol Photo Festival Family Tour

An event on Thursday 29th October. The event starts at 10:00.

Join us on Thursday 31 October for a guided walking tour of Bristol Photo Festival, led by our curators. This tour welcomes families with children of any age.

The tour will include:

* Bristol Museum and Art Gallery – We’ll begin with Akshay Mahajan’s People of Clay, which maps folk stories found across the India–Bangladesh border. We’ll then explore Sheida Soleimani’s Persistence Studies, which examines how long sparrows can survive in a polluted landscape before being forced to move elsewhere.
* Bristol Cathedral - At Bristol Cathedral we will visit Holly Lynton’s Beyond the Bounds, which examines the role of ritual and faith in rural communities in the United States.
* Arnolfini - We will finish by exploring Joy Gregory’s Catching Flies with Honey, which brings together more than 150 photographs, films, installations and textile works spanning four decades of artistic practice.

Our curators will share insights into the exhibitions as we move between venues, allowing you to experience the festival in depth without worrying about navigation.

Tours last approximately 2–3 hours, moving at the pace of the group, with opportunities to stop for coffee along the way.
