Iron Island at Brunel's SS Great Britain
See event details

A event on Friday 1st October. The event starts at 10:00.

This is a truly immersive story of the ship’s life at sea. Working with poet Saili Katebe and composer Joe Acheson, Limbic Cinema will transform the dry dock where the ship now lies into a huge digital projection theatre, filled with the energy of the world’s underwater oceans. For the first time in over fifty years the sights, sounds and movement of a living sea will surround the ship’s hull.

Dive down to discover a moving experience of global migration, elemental power and true resilience.

Entry is included in your admission to Brunel’s SS Great Britain. Time slots are available to book from now until 3 October. https://www.ssgreatbritain.org/things-to-do/iron-island/

Accessible showings are available at 11am and 3pm each day for the benefit of visitors with a hearing impairment.

SS Great Britain would like to thank the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Lottery Players for supporting this programme.
