A gig on Saturday 13th January. The event starts at 19:30.

A reassuringly ridiculous pile-up of across the board hubbub awaits all of those there to pay their disrespects at the monumental wake of New Year / New Noise.

Upstairs will be awash with the ambient drone soundscapes of Hack Mystic and EMEI, which is the solo project of Louise Brady who creates drifting ambient sound collages that utilise field recordings from various travels, portable synthesisers and layers her own voice as well as an assortment of acoustic instruments such as accordion and piano. Then we have the more abrasive cathartics of Harrge, a new collaboration between Miguel Prado (Nzʉmbe) and Dali de Saint Paul (DSC, EP/64) n honour of those who burn the border & keep indelible marks, glossolalia and xenoglossia. Diaspora of the future.

Harry Wright and Robin Stewart have played instrumental parts in all of the previous events, so it is only right Giant Swan bring this whole damned thing to a severed head swapping NY/NN1 roles with Vessel, who shouldn’t need any introduction really except to say he has provided more head-banging sweat-drenched highlights in this city than anyone has a right to do.

His headline set at the first New Year / New Noise rewired our souls in to the state they are in now. Somehow this will be Giant Swan’s first headline slot in their home town, and should kick off a game changing 2018 for them.

Just before the baton passes, we host three artists who will performing in the city for the first time, including the Philadelphia based poet/activist/producer/unstoppable ball of taut energy and one of the most important artists touring (relentlessly) today, Moor Mother. She has spent the past 12 months owning every festival and venue she has graced, and it’s safe to say the Brunswick Club will be no different.

London duo S4U ooze cool breeze perfection through their effortless slices of contemporary R&B, served up ghost cold and pumping. Blasting things of in the basement are Nervous Conditions, an 8-piece barrage of guitars, saxophone, viola, bass and throat that will wrap you in post-punk noise.

The night will then be ruined by us DJing, probably playing the same songs we did the first time we gave this event a spin. We’re Howling Forever.
