A happening where outsiders re-seize soylent space within the oozing heart of Bristol
COIL TOGETHER. AGAIN. Howling Owl Records and THORNY return to the idiosyncratic Brunswick Club for the second instalment of COIL. A happening where outsiders re-seize soylent space within the oozing heart of Bristol.
Building on the successful spectacle of our first collaboration earlier this year, we have stepped the chaos up a notch with unmissable appearances from international pioneers in live art and experimental sound, alongside some favourite DJs to facilitate our euphoric descent at this night of necessary release.
TICKET + DONATION OPTION
Brunswick Club need funds to continue putting on events and to help pay for artists' equipment, some of which was unfortunately stolen during a recent incident. When booking your ticket, please consider donating £5 to help secure the future of our home. Thank you for your support.
IMMA ASHER (NYC)
Performance artist Imma Asher (formerly known as IMMA/MESS) is a major nightlife personality living in and from NYC. Originally training in ballet at the prestigious Alvin Ailey School of Dance, her work transcends disciplines, using movement to give the intangible a physical presence. Imma joins us in Bristol for an electrifying one-off club performance that is guaranteed to leave you entranced.
COLIN SELF (NYC/Berlin)
Colin Self composes and choreographs music, performance, and environments for expanding consciousness, troubling binaries and boundaries of perception and communication. His music explores the transformative power of the human voice drawing on a diverse set of influences that include queer theory, liturgical ritual, trap rhythms and electro-acoustic sound design. He is known for his highly charged, physical performances that combine his vocal virtuosity with choreographed movement and electronic processing, unfolding into a compelling play of transmutation.
