Aching between the forests of urban
architecture and the dull ghosts of dead
empires Devin Birse’s work dislocates the
present and self from the immediate day to
day and transforms them into surreal
apocalypses. Drawing upon a mixture
of confessionalism, surrealism and a taste
for both New York school wit and fin de siecle
decadence Devin aims to defamiliarise and
reconfigure the personal and impersonal
through a mixture modernist precision and
absurdist monologue

Slow Slow Loris use voice and electronics to search
for the intersections where melody meets noise, emotional
meets avant-garde, feminine meets industrial, non-rhythm
meets accuracy, and raw meets craft. Their 5 albums and
various tracks were released by Cloister Recordings,
Zaetraom, Staaltape, Syrphe, Klang and others.

“The animal slow loris is an endangered species. It is
believed to be the gatekeepers for the heavens and is
used in traditional medicine to ward off evil, but a slow
loris is continually seeing ghosts, that is why it hides
its face in its hands.”

Sean Addicott is a sonic artist in the true sense..
Through an organic mix of soundscape design. sound
collage techniques, electric and acoustic instruments,
synthesis, and natural sound, they produce cathartic lakes
( or seas ! ) of sounds that not only connect emotionally but
conceptually too . His goal is a performance that feels
dangerous again, where songs can collapse into beautiful
chaos and machines become untamed collaborators rather
than obedient servants.Their work explores an overarching
creative desire; to remove digital limitation from the
practice of musicing + letting go of the domestication
of the digital audio workstation.

They are also member of hardcore outfit Punch On! and
have been a stalwart figure in such a scene for a long while.
Added to this, Sean has been an strong advocate in reframing
neuro divergence in the music industry and beyond through
teaching, the dbs institute and via his own music.
