Wild voices on the wind, ancient dreaming Gods, rising dragons…

This Dancing Land is a new storytelling show, brought to you by South West storytellers Hannah Sneyd (Feast of Stories), Heather Jane (Healing the Tongue) and Henry Everett (South Devon Storytellers).

Evoking the land with words woven from myth, dreams and folklore, Hannah, Heather and Henry will take you through the stories of this land.
Tales heard between the stones of the rocky moors, whispers caught in the river valleys and dreams woven into the tree canopy.

This Dancing Land entreats you to dance upon the soil. Join us, on Friday 15th September as we begin an adventure as old as the stone we stand on.

About your hosts

Hannah Sneyd's original stories arrive on the wind and thread a canny path between the everyday and the fantastical. She is a storyteller and healer, and loves nothing more than spins fireside yarns and milking goats.

Henry Everett is a poet, photographer and storyteller from Devon. His stories are more than mere words; they are portals to another time. Through his extraordinary tales, listeners find themselves journeying alongside heroes, encountering mythical creatures, and unearthing the deep-rooted traditions that have shaped Devon's identity. His voice carries the echoes of generations past, capturing the laughter, the sorrows, and the timeless wisdom of those who have walked these lands before.

Heather Jane is a storyteller, lover of tales (and tails), animals, nature and magical Otherworlds. One of her key life skills is seeing the animals in people, and the people in animals, and finding both the underbelly and the mischief in life. As a hag in training she loves exploring different lands, meeting humans, crashing about, listening to the beasts, narrating the world around us and laughing.
