"Improv’s Greatest Hits returns with a night of sonic mutations and scene collisions. Edinburgh’s Cowboy Builder weld cranky no-wave drawls to serrated noise jams, while local trailblazer Micheal Gianan spins his rare kind of post-jazz guitar racket and Frannie & Zooey sieve nu-country and drone into longform folk-tech rituals. Essential FFO: The Fall, Gastr Del Sol, Bill Orcutt, Prurient, On The Corner era Miles Davis."

the goal for them is to make sounds on the guitar
that don't sound like one

Cowboy Builder is a rogue trader forced by blacklist into
the world of music where they may hide forever. Cowboy
Builder began trading in October 2019, but may have been
going longer under misleading handles and faker names.
“While the drawls and serrated edges in Cowboy
Builder’s music carry echoes of The Fall and The
Country Teasers, there’s a jam band’s sense of
exploration that’s all theirs.
CB find light in our doomed realm precisely because
their cranky levitations are realised through battered
people and machines rather than despite them. Their
music is damaged, but they ride that damage into
something remarkable” - The Quietus
