Akane + sadsugar at Café Kino

A gig held at Cafe Kino on Friday 2nd December. The event starts at 19:30.

Akane are an indie-dance-elecronic trio from Bristol. The band formed to reconnect with the music scene post-covid. Their sound is influenced by the likes of Caribou, Bonobo, Paris Monster, Quantic and more.

Mike Cornelius (drums), Ollie Poet (guitar) and Marin Briand (synthesisers) have been part of many different musical project over the past 5 years. From playing rock and funk to soul and jazz, they came together to express their creativity through exploring a new sound that connects with them in a very particular way.
For their first gig, at Café Kino, Akane will be turning the venue into a sweaty dance floor, inviting the audience to let loose and care about what matters most: having a solid good time.
