INTERROBANG?!
Formed in 2012 between Brighton and Leeds, Interrobang?! sprang from Dunstan and Griff’s refusalto accept comfort, nostalgia or inertia. Theirdetermination to create something that speaks to the generation who grew up in the shadow of punk, with hopes and dreams, full of rebellion who may feel that they are becoming invisible and irrelevant is theirobsession. 

 They embody the interrobang symbol itself; asking the question and shouting the exclamation simultaneously. They are activists, musicians, provocateurs. Their newfound mantra is: “If you can’t dance to it, it’s not our revolution.” They won’t shut up. They want to challenge apathy and middle-aged complacency with furious honesty, wit and a deadly groove.

 Their self-titled album Interrobang?! was released March 2018 on All The Madmen Records. The album laid bare Bruce’s reflections on entering his fifties — struggles, discontent, anger and hope in a setting of frenetic punk-funk noise. It reached out to those asking: How do I make myself heard now? Where do I fit in? Bruce’s battleground lyrically is very muchconfronting the mid-life malaise, political dissatisfaction and existential restlessness.

 Interrobang is Dunstan Bruce (vocals) — Coming from the anarcho-cabaret roots of Chumbawamba, he brings a lifelong commitment to activism, audacious lyricism and a voice grown hoarse with both anger and humourand Stephen Griffin (guitar/synth/sampler/vocals) Griff channels the jagged, anti-rock aesthetics while adding his own propulsive urgency now augmented with synth and samples and driving beats.

 Interrobang?! now embrace new technology; they’re calling it agit-synth where synths, beats and samples pepper the soundscape whilst Griff’s guitar still embraces that angularity and anti-rock aesthetic as well as giving a nod to some 70/80s Bowie. Chuck in some LCD Soundsystem, some Chalk and a touch of Sleaford Mods and some KLF too.

 On their second album “Rethink Everything” (released late March/early April 2026 on FOAD Musick) Griff’s driving synth lines underpin Bruce’s lyrical broadsides: raging against hypocrisy, rampaging capitalism, internet machismo and the creeping numbness of late-stage adulthood. They still address such questions like what happened to that spark inside? How do you express your anger now? And how do we make ourselves heard and where do we fit in? They’re still full of righteous anger about the state of the world but now they’re looking for the hope, the inspiration, the desire, the way forward out of this hellscape.

 Their live shows remain part gig, part group therapy, part punk sermon.
Expect to feel seen, confronted, and maybe even saved for three minutes at a time. In the world of the interrobang, silence is not an option. Interrobang?! arenot done yet.

VIRUS
Formed in 1983, Virus have been described as the ‘best kept secret’ in the DIY punk scene and over their 42 year history have released four singles, one split-single and six albums.
Virus draw on inspiration from the bands of 1979/80 - bands such as The Ruts, The Damned, Killing Joke, The Stranglers, The Jam, as well as anarcho punk pioneers Crass, The Mob and Poison Girls. Virus continue to explore new territory and push their music beyond the boundaries normally associated with anarcho-punk with their hard-hitting melodic punk rock sound and lyrical themes about the betrayal of trust in a long-term friendship, fast fashion, the environmental crisis, internet grooming gangs, the president of the USA, Covid lockdown, the toppling of the Colston statue, the meat industry and the wider punk scene.
Virus have played live all over the country but they tend to keep their gigs low-key affairs often playing with long-time friends and associates.

SOCIAL SECURITY
After seeing The Damned perform in late 76, Social Security left their jobs and signed on. They recruited 'Spy' a Damned roadie so named because the Damned were convinced he was a spy for the Pistols. With 'Spy' on board as their new singer, The Socials became major players in the Bristol and West Country's burgeoning punk scene.
Signed by Heartbeat Records They went on to record their first single on Bristol's newly formed Heartbeat record label. The single, a four track E.P. Was critically acclaimed by the legendary John Peel. Over the years the single has been re-released appearing on many highly regarded Punk anthology albums.
After a lot of arm twisting by their former management and due to public pressure Social Security relented and have now reformed playing extensively and showcasing their unique wit and song writing abilities. Social Security are true originals, Don't miss them!!
