"Sell out warning! They can easily pack out Trinity these days, but Wych Elm wanna witch you up close and personal with this small-cap basement taste of their sublimely sinister slacker rock. Come support your local folk horror grungers, with bruised art punks Rabbit Vision + Slunk’s plaintive post-punk. Future icons incoming FFO: Mannequin Pussy, NewDad, Sonic Youth, Snail Mail, Hotline TNT."

Very excited to be bringing Bristol favourites wych elm to Cafe Kino alongside incredible support from Rabbit Vision, Slunk and wych elm’s very own caitlin lamb
- wych elm -
Bristol’s three-piece wych elm were formed back in 2017. Throughout secondary school and college they found themselves sharing mutual interests such as listening to Pixies and reading unusual literature. Together they create an atmosphere of Hitchins' feed-backing squalling guitars, heavy drum fills and punchy bass accompanied by Elliman’s haunting lyrics and howls. They conjure menacing and contemplative grungy indie rock with a touch of the macabre.
Formerly Year of the Rabbit, Rabbit Vision are an experimental art punk project taking inspiration from 1970s no wave. Combining jagged abrasive guitars with emotional spoken word to create a blistering assault on the senses, Rabbit Vision pull just as much from Sylvia Plath as they do from Sonic Youth. FFO: DITZ, Gilla Band, Dream Wife.
Slunk, the latest moniker for sonic exploration under which Josh Bannister explores the edges of a decades worth of making music, with a penchant for improvisation and comfortable discomfort. Slunk is a celebration of the process of making, letting go and living life through music and language.
Caitlin Lamb was a gentle home birth, conceived by strumming on an antique mandolin from ebay with thoughts of medieval literature. It grew into many upon many woeful and poignant folk songs.
