Electro Café at Cafe Kino

A gig held at Cafe Kino on Friday 25th October. The event starts at 19:30.

Join us for an experimental exploration in the basement of Cafe Kino. Three wildly different live sets, going from early grime interspersed with minimal synths, transcendental textural ambient, and rolling acid basslines juxtaposed with pastoral melodies. If you're a curious soul, this one's for you.

On the night:

Meemo Comma (live):-

Meemo Comma is the alias of Brightonian Lara Rix-Martin, whose textural ambience leaves you captivated. Lara's new album, Sleepmoss (Planet Mu) will be released on the night of the event...

Xylitol (live):-

Xylitol is the twenty year-young electro project of artist and actor Catherine Backhouse. Xylitol's music channels the brutal minimalism of early grime, cold-wave and the stoic synths of krautrock.

Tudor Acid (live):-

Tudor Acid is the Nom de synth of Richard Wigglesworth, a producer making music for the last 17 years. From playing at the I Love Acid parties around the time of the millennium on hardware, to presently using software Max/MSP to recreate 303 bass-lines and pastoral melodies.
