Information:

Record Label Tudor Beats present their debut Electro Cafe event -three tantalising live performances in Bristol’s intimate Cafe Kino on Friday 25th October. You’ll hear incredible, vibrant performances from specialists in ambient, experimental electro, ambient and IDM. From the likes of Radioactive Man Collaborator Tudor Beats, to Planet Mu releasee Meemo Comma. This is an event that will showcase eccentric electronic experimentation which deserves to be heard.

On the night:

Meemo Comma (live):-

Meemo Comma is the alias of Brightonian Lara Rix-Martin who previously recorded as part of the Heterotic duo on Planet Mu. Lara will be returning to Planet Mu in the Autumn of 2019 with her second album, Sleepmoss. Sleepmoss explores the beauty of autumn and the dramatic change into winter darkness, losing oneself to solitude using ambient soundscapes.

Xylitol (live):-

Xylitol is the twenty year-young electro project of artist and actor Catherine Backhouse. Xylitol's music channels the brutal minimalism of early grime, cold-wave and the potting shed electronics of unsung tape-music pioneers such as FC Judd. Her production values are cheap enough to make a Future Music subscriber weep into her cornflakes, and despite her enthusiasm for Delia Derbyshire, Nuclear Bunkers and hazy VHS copies of old Bagpuss epoisodes, she is defiantly not a hauntologist.

Tudor Acid (live):-

Tudor Acid is the Nom de synth of Richard Wigglesworth, a producer who has lived in Bristol for 17 years. His first EP as "Hysteresis" was played by John Peel, at the right speed, in 2002. Since then, he did gigs in 2007 for I love Acid and Keith Tenniswood's lo motion night. He is most interested in melodic acid with lots of pad sounds and enjoys the challenge of building his own instruments.
