A event held at Cafe Kino on Monday 29th June. The event starts at 19:00.
Join us in singing MAO MAO!
On Monday the 29th of June, Cinema Transexuál will be showing La Chinoise - Jean-Luc Goddard’s 1967 classic, released less than a year before 10 million French workers went on strike in solidarity with the anti-Vietnam, anti capitalist student demonstrations that had exploded all across France. A fascinating historical document, anti-communist tripe or a vital step in the development of film as a vehicle for extolling the ideas of Marxism-Leninism - you be the judge !
Tickets are available For Free on headfirst (not mandated , but it’d be appreciated and help us get a sense of numbers)
Thanks to Belle Clements for her excellent work on the posters, and to Jarvis Cocker for answering the question ‘can you sing French in a Sheffield accent’
you know the score - Kino Basement (unfortunately not wheelchair accessible), 6:30 for a 7 start, as always free with optional donations to help us keep running always welcome.
