Collaboration between some Bristol underground
slayers ~ KELAN, Harry Iceman Furniss ( cornet )
+ Jackyboi ( decks n electronics ) We have no idea
what to expect but in a very good way
A household name in Bristol, Max Kelan has navigated
the industrial underbelly of his hometown for a hot minute.
Performing as part of the theatrical, rhythmic noise act Bad
Tracking, the occult driven Salac and running and being a
resident DJ of the longstanding club event Slack Alice.
Severn tales of sleazy noir, vice and earthly transgression
- along the way taking a verbal match to the flag, spitting
venom at vampiric landlords and erupting into lewd,
schoolyard chants.
Harry is a Bristol alt scene vet, instigator of new scenes,
champion of new bands and ubiquitous collaborator to
many local old, new and present acts including just this
year Minor Conflict / Ex Agent / Mould / Glaxo Babies / Lucy
Gooch and Lifter. Blurring genre lines with groups such as
Bingo Fury, in various incarnations he has supported innovators
like The Fall, + James Chance plus played with legends such as
Damo Suzuki (Can) Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth )
Jackyboi
Known for his work with the Malista, a custom MIDI device
powered by a spinning disk, Jackyboi treats hardware as both
instrument and experiment. Away from the studio, he is a driving
force in Bristol’s DIY techno movement
TOBY EVANS - JESRA QUARTET
——————————————————
This time London slayers come together for a GUITAR QUARTET !
Feat Lottie Pendlebury ( Goat Girl / Lobby ) Oli Knight
( Another Country $ $ $ $ ) Connor Grinstead ( Mount Doom)
+ led by Toby Evans - Jesra ( Leatherhead / Lobby / Piglet )
Over the past couple years, a few collectives in Bristol have
completely redefined the Bristol DIY scene, CJC is one of them.
Starting off ( and still ) as a weekly alternative jam night at The
Old England ( every Tues ) they have become a grassroots
juggernaut, putting on all dayers and inclusive events at Ashton
Court Estate plus a consistent introducer of the latest Bristol
bands + artists
They’ll be repped in band form by a band to be announced
