MUMBLE TIDE

Buoyed by an ever-evolving collage of pop influences, Mumble Tide’s work has regularly swung between the sweet and savage, the grungy and glistening. But at its heart is the meeting of two minds; singer-songwriter Gina Leonard and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Rogers. Over the last few years they have honed their distinctive brand of kaleidoscopic indie, all anchored by Leonard’s crystalline, plaintive voice.

Bath and Bristol based post punk/jazz band. The group has evolved over the years with differing members and sounds to eventually land in the sandy tropics of Bath with six members, all sharing a love for the convoluted world that is Jazz music. With the busyness of six instruments all playing at once, the sound of Paper Crowns adopts a high level of intensity and calculated dissonance that makes for songs with ominous build-ups, crazy time signatures, anxty lyrics and overall dynamic ambiguity.

Bristol based 5-piece crafting an evolving fusion of neo-jazz, experimental rock, and poetic surrealism. Their music defies easy categorization — vulnerability and volatility, polished chaos and deliberate imperfection.

Cafe Kino turns 22 this summer, and naturally, we’re throwing a month-long party!

Every Saturday this August, ‘Kino Lives’ takes over with some of Bristol’s freshest and finest live acts, celebrating over 2 decades of independent culture, queer joy, DIY creativity and doing things differently.

Kino has spent 22 years giving Bristol’s artists, collectives, outsiders and lovely weirdos a place to meet, make things and make noise, as well as being a vital community space in central Bristol for trans, POC and queer folk.

Kino is currently under threat of closure and we urgently need to raise funds to sustain our home on Stokes Croft and keep its doors open.

After paying artists, collaborators and event costs, profits from Kino Lives 2026 will go directly to Cafe Kino, helping us to:

- Keep the doors open
- Continue to provide space for the community
- Provide additional support for vulnerable community members
- Host affordable and pay-what-you-can events

Buying a ticket (and adding a donation if you can) supports the people onstage while helping save an essential independent space.
