Cafe Kino turns 22 this summer, and naturally, we’re throwing a month-long party!
Every Saturday this August, ‘Kino Lives’ takes over with some of Bristol’s freshest and finest live acts, celebrating over 2 decades of independent culture, queer joy, DIY creativity and doing things differently.
Kino has spent 22 years giving Bristol’s artists, collectives, outsiders and lovely weirdos a place to meet, make things and make noise, as well as being a vital community space in central Bristol for trans, POC and queer folk.
Kino is currently under threat of closure and we urgently need to raise funds to sustain our home on Stokes Croft and keep its doors open.
After paying artists, collaborators and event costs, profits from Kino Lives 2026 will go directly to Cafe Kino, helping us to:
- Keep the doors open
- Continue to provide space for the community
- Provide additional support for vulnerable community members
- Host affordable and pay-what-you-can events
Buying a ticket (and adding a donation if you can) supports the people onstage while helping save an essential independent space.
