James Alexander Bright at Cafe Kino

A gig held at Cafe Kino on Saturday 21st November. The event starts at 20:00.

James Alexander Bright crafts soulful, sunlit music that blurs the boundaries between indie-soul, psychedelic-folk, and classic pop. A gifted singer, musician and producer; his richly textured music has won acclaim from Mojo, Uncut and Electronic Sound and DJs across BBC 6 Music, NTS, KEXP, Worldwide FM and beyond. Collaborations with Groove Armada, Girls Of The Internet and Flying Mojito Bros have also cemented his reputation as one of the UK's quietly distinctive musical voices. Bright's live show is warm, immersive and effortlessly groove-driven, bringing together intricate musicianship, heartfelt songwriting and a spirit of joyful musical exploration. With a set list drawn from a catalogue spanning three acclaimed solo albums, EPs, and various collaborative projects; this will be the first public airing of new songs from an upcoming 2027 album to be released via Athens of the North.

“Intoxicating, highly evocative, sun-dappled soul” Uncut
“Blissful choruses, sweetly nagging refrains and a lo-fi sensibility. Hard not to love” Mojo
“Pastoral 21st century psychedelia that knows all the best clubs in town” Electronic Sound
