Keller Kino Presents: Acid Action酸行為 at Cafe Kino
See event details

A event held at Cafe Kino on Sunday 3rd March. The event starts at 15:00.

Finally Cafe Kino is doing its name justice and presenting the first of a series of films under the name "Keller Kino"!

Organised and programmed by Kino members, the series will invite you to individual runs of themed screenings, focusing on films that may otherwise not find a home on screen elsewhere in Bristol/the UK.

For this first season in March, "Life of Elsewhere", Kino co-op member Howl has programmed 3 films to be screened in our small but cosy basement, including intros and post-screening discussions. The aim of the series is to formulate a scope to gaze at how artists in East Asia, Taiwan and China specifically position themselves in society and therefore develop/redevelop their method of making art.

The premiere film is Acid Action酸行為, a project that Howl, a performer and artist himself, worked on:

"Acid Action is a documentary picturing Acid House, a live art collective based in Yonghe, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Through numerous performance documentations and intimate interviews, Acid Action layout cohesive perspective in terms of how young artists in Taiwan perceive Live Art, their practice of collectivity, and their rebellion to social convention."

The screening will include an introduction by Howl and a chance to discuss the documentary afterwards.

The second and third screenings are on the 8th and 15th of March, we would love to see you there!

Lots of love,
Mika and Howl from the Cafe Kino team
