Heavy Pictures Presents: Angel at Cafe Kino
See event details

A event held at Cafe Kino on Thursday 13th November. The event starts at 19:30.

After a fantastic summer of showcasing ultra DIY and shot-on-video selections, Heavy Pictures Presents is excited to share its latest season: City of Sin

By 1984, it was obvious to the studios that most film goers wanted the taboo violence-filled experiences that put some independent film makers on the map. And of course, they wanted a piece of that action.

Partly down to the booming video market, the big boys turned out some of their own pictures with these themes. Some awful, some tried too hard, some have stood the test of time.

Angel is one of those. A very lean story that follows a 15-year-old leading a double life on the neon-soaked Hollywood boulevard, she must fight for survival as her 2 worlds begin to close in.

Spawning 2 sequels and a 4th unrelated only by name release, Angel was only released on VHS in the UK. Now is your chance to see it!
