TWISTED TEENS , Bruno BOMP and The Jeff Sessions at Cafe Kino
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Pedal steel punk from Blackbird Raum alumnus Cas P. Ian, trading in anarcho-folk for an unruly new breed of country garage. Twisted Teens are wailing, fuzzy, languid and snotty all at once, like a fried Sheer Mag/White Wires crossover. Get in early for DIY newbies The Jeff Sessions and rock’n’roll wunderkind outfit Bruno & the Outrageous Methods of Presentation."

SPECIALIST SUBJECT & FRIENDS presents....

TWISTED TEENS (New Orleans, Louisiana)
https://cpnpc.bandcamp.com/album/twisted-teens

We are very excited to announce we’ll be hosting the incredible New Orleans-based punk band TWISTED TEENS next month. Fronted/cooked-up by Cas P. Ian (Blackbird Raum), their 2024 debut has become a staff favourite and is truly one of the most original & exciting releases we’ve heard in a long time, fusing country, blues, rock’n’roll, garage punk… and yes, a little folk punk, to create a blissed out lived-in sound that speaks to musical traditions of the American South whilst being raw and really (really) rocking. To borrow the words of Maximum Rock’n’roll, “hopefully everyone will catch onto what makes TWISTED TEENS important and special.”

Support from Bristol/London rockers Bruno and the Outrageous Methods of Presentation and awesome garage-punk newbies, The Jeff Sessions. Advance tickets available via headfirst, limited to 65.
