Mimi Jones + Arty Jackson at Cafe Kino
Tickets £8 online and on the door

A gig held at Cafe Kino on Thursday 25th September. The event starts at 20:00.

"Jim was from Vermont. He showed me his trucks and said they had good engines. I didn't understand why, but they were good."

To those of you in the underground who know her, she is the lead singer of Dogsbody. To those who really know her, she is Mimi Jones. Mimi has decided to share an album of personal demos that were never intended to be released when she recorded them a few years ago. Reminiscent of the work of Elliott Smith, Mimi's songs are confessional and sophisticated-ly simple. They are timefolded songs that she holds very dear to her and will be played for the first time live to an intimate audience.

Mimi will be joined by fellow songwriter Arty Jackson of Humm, whose guitar-work is mythical. He will be playing some of his songs too and is a great storyteller. Expect an effortless and delicate set with harmonic intrigue.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
