"Sell out warning! A puritanical copper pays a visit to a remote Scottish island and proceeds to terrorise its lovely pagan community in the defining folk horror of the 20th century. Christopher Lee’s outfit serves, Britt Eckland’s wall-banging dance of seduction, plenty of jolly pub singalongs and a few harmless local traditions … come, it is time to keep your appointment with Cafe Kino!"

A event held at Cafe Kino on Tuesday 14th April. The event starts at 19:30.
Join us at Cafe Kino for a screening of the iconic The Wicker Man. Monolithic in it's cultural impact and widely adored by critics and enthusiasts alike, The Wicker Man truly is a phenomenon. The film follows a puritan police sergeant (Edward Woodward) who arrives in a Scottish island village in search of a missing girl, who the pagan locals claim never existed.
This is the pilot event for Project the Dolls Bristol - a film club dedicated to raising money for trans healthcare. With this in mind, any donations to our cause additional to the price of admission will be received with deep gratitude. For info about subsequent screening events, please follow us on Instagram @project.the.dolls.bristol.
Preceding the feature, we will also be screening the premiere of Daisy - a five minute folk-horror-inspired short film made by the event organisers.
Thanks for your support, we look forward to seeing you at the screening!
