Memento Mori making workshop at Cafe Kino

A event held at Cafe Kino on Tuesday 29th October. The event starts at 17:00.

Considering our relationship with death and life around Samhain, using personal symbols, items and representations of death to create a beautiful item we can carry with us or put somewhere to remind us to live more freely and in accordance with our values, desires and what it’s important to us. This could be our values, our desires, the way we interact with others and the world around us. Being able to reconsider death and our understanding around this allows us to see our lives differently and puts into perspective what is important to us and this is the first step in reclaiming a little autonomy over that within our capitalist hellscape! This will be a beautiful calming and meditative space to focus on crafting and making a beautiful item and intention with a warm up and 2 hours to create from various materials such as fabric, paint, sewing, dried foraged plants and flowers. If there is something you’d like to bring along such as foraged plants, a tooth, hair, rocks, beads, an item of jewelry and any other things that are important to you to add to your Memento Mori.
