Heavy Pictures Presents Suffer Little Children at Cafe Kino
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"£5 basement screening of the infamous UK video nasty; beamed from a much cooler Britain where pre-teen drama groups toyed with Satan and grippingly lo-fi zombie gore in after hours classes. Yes the tabloids truly went nuts for this, and you will too (Jesus’ cameo is worth the price of admission alone)."

screenings for everyone

A event held at Cafe Kino on Wednesday 16th July. The event starts at 19:30.

Join us as we continue our season of ultra-DIY and SOV (shot-on-video) cinema with one of the strangest artefacts of the video nasty era.

Suffer Little Children is a 1983 British obscurity, made by a school drama troupe with zero budget, maximum ambition, and a truly unhinged finale. Featuring a homemade synth soundtrack and performances that teeter between school play and supernatural meltdown, this is outsider cinema at its most chaotic.

Infamous for being swept up in the Video Nasty panic and nearly lost to time, Suffer Little Children is the kind of film that has to be seen to be believed.
