Professor Nick Maynard is a British surgeon who has visited Gaza every year since 2010 with the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians to provide medical training. He has also led medical missions since December 2023 to hospitals in Gaza. He has spoken widely in the press about the current situation the Palestinians are facing. The experience is focused on Gaza but the talk will cover what health workers and health systems face during conflict and war.

We invite you to a talk to hear his first hand account as well as participate in a Q&A after.

Doors open 6 pm with a prompt start at 6:30 pm - please arrive in time.
Central BS1 location, close to major bus routes.

Tickets £5 with all revenue going to Medical Aid for Palestinians. Further donations welcome on the night. If you would like to attend but need help with the cost, please email the organiser. Due to the non profit nature, no refunds will be issued for customer-requested cancellations.
