Join Fra Beecher, host of United Models Life Drawing, for a special life drawing session at Centrespace Gallery, during the Women by Women.3 exhibition. All welcome; from those who are new to life drawing to experienced artists. This will be a fun and safe space to create and share. Models will be responding to works on display as part of the Women by Women.3 exhibition. Gentle drawing, and writing, prompts will be shared. As always, there will be two models posing nude, one for each half of the session. There may also be some duo poses. Pose lengths will range from 30 seconds to 20 minutes. Basic drawing materials will be available, but we do recommend that you bring your own paper/sketchbook, if you can. Please arrive from 6.30pm so that we can start at 7pm. ‘Women by Women' is a celebration of personalities, stories and lived experiences. It is an ode to our community and our most treasured relationships with others and ourselves.s. 'Women by Women.3' is the third annual group exhibition showcasing work by 24 female and non-binary artists. Their work emerges from a place of the most inherent, personal, deep-rooted and true emotion meanwhile exploring an ever changing terrain. Whilst the artists tell their stories from where they stand, joining together in a space weaves these individuals together in conversation, a shared history, and a communal experience. This collection of work explores the joys, pains and complexities of womanhood through a variety of personal and communal perspectives on identity, relationship and body. 'Women by Women' is an annual exhibition that marks International Women's Day, and strives to broaden why, how and who we celebrate on this day.
