What is our relationship with nature?
For many of us living in modern cities, nature is no longer a constant presence but a place we visit from time to time. And yet, the natural world has existed long before us and continues to shape the environments that surround and sustain us. Living in Bristol, we are fortunate to remain close to rural landscapes that remind us of this ongoing connection.
This exhibition brings together artists based in Bristol and around the world to reflect on their personal relationships with nature and to open new conversations through their artistic practice. For some artists, nature has long been a central subject and source of inspiration; for others, it represents a new area of exploration. Together, their works invite us to reconsider how we see, understand, and belong within the natural world — and to use this dialogue as a starting point for thinking about broader questions in our lives. Through handmade prints, oil paintings, and mixed-media sculptures, fifteen artists share their conversations with Nature.
