Headfirst Editor's Pick

"SSP showers the celestial hallows of St Thomas the Martyr with rippling experimental delights! Making his first live appearance in 5+ years, Bokeh fav Jay Glass Dubs returns with his world-conquering refracted dub electronics and mutated trip-hop + sublime harp-scapes and hushed alien pop form Stroom-signed Sissi Rada. As always, powered by the mighty immersive bassbins of Chewing Glass Sound System. "

A gig on Thursday 22nd August. The event starts at 20:00.

Five programs complete and we've slowly pulled participants deeper down the well but are now very excited to announce that (as long promised) sensitivity sound program will finally return to the light this August - welcoming...

Jay Glass Dubs' fractured and crystaline take on dubwise studio techniques have bent and twisted his own foundational musical landscape into a rich body of work that respects it's folkloric history yet refuses to be shackled to tradition or convention

Sissi Rada combines classical/contemporary/jazz playing techniques with traditonal Athenian folk song, cosmic electronics and Dionysosian drumming. Creating rich layers of emotion with every whispered melody and gentle pluck of the harp

Katya Shirshkova is responsible (amongst others) for one of the most profoundly moving and beautiful pieces of music of the last few years - "The Wind Blows Wherever It Pleases. You Hear Its Sound…" is a astonishingly brave act of protest and defiance which utilises the strength of community and the limits of the human voice to respond to threats of violence, brutality and censorship in a way that speaks volumes without ever uttering a single word

Moral Fibre coaxes pulpous moments of beauty and wriggly earworms out of a mixture of advanced technology and more organic materials, while simultaneously acting as a reliable bestower of knowledge to the local electronic music community and rescuing strangers bikes from the fires of stokes croft

this time we enter the halls of the utterly breathtaking Church of St Thomas the Martyr, where the surroundings will be truly befitting of the music broadcast inside

this event has been made possible by the free and fine folk at Stellage and Industrial Coast who's support and hospitality seemingly knows no limits

as always, sensitivity sound program will be powered by the mighty CGC Soundsytem and our vibrations will be felt across the lands

programs are set to conclude shortly, thank you for your participation
