A
clubnight
held at The Cider Box Tap Room
on Friday 17th October. The event starts at 20:00.
A back-to-basics knees up where the music is serious but the vibes are as warm as the bass bins. Expect to hear breaks, bops, bootlegs, bangers and bass, washed down with good booze and new buddies.
The line-up:
Time II Dance
Jungle Syndicate resident and purveyor of the hyperactive old skool/nu skool/proto jungle/hardcore mash up sound, Time II Dance will be bringing the absolute cutting edge of rave energy to the Bop Thru dancefloor.
Gatekeeper
Gatekeeper is an experimental producer/DJ who forms part of Bristol’s current crop of forward thinking electronic artists. His sound is deep, melodic and atmospheric, with a strong emphasis on originality and bass and drums that groove.
A legend in the Bristol bass music scene, he has released on iconic labels such as Skull Disco and Punch Drunk before launching his own South Tower imprint.
Kimbr
Celebrating the launch of his Flamethrower EP on DJ Ink's mighty Architecture Recordings, Kimbr will be playing a dnb set packed full of hard and dark tech step and dubby rollers peppered with unreleased dubs from his own stash.
Syla and Opalys
The Bop Thru residents will be bridging the gaps of bass and breaks music, shifting through genres and bpms like it's an all you can eat buffet.
