Bristol Cider Club | Perry: A Drinker's Guide at The Cider Box Tap Room

A event held at The Cider Box Tap Room on Thursday 12th September. The event starts at 19:00.

The drinks world's best kept secret is out…

Perry is having its moment. Worthy of the same global recognition as wine, finally, it’s gaining interest and celebration – thanks to one of its biggest advocates, Cider Review Editor/Writer, Adam Wells.

In his new book, Perry: A Drinker's Guide, Adam opens up the world of perry, helping drinkers ‘navigate the styles, flavours, varieties, countries, regions, and producers behind this ancient and fascinating drink’.

Join us to meet the author, learn all about perry, and try a selection of five perries selected by Adam himself. Copies of Adam’s book will be available to buy on the evening.

18:30 – Doors and welcome drinks
19:00 – Hosted tasting and talk with Adam
20:00 – Wrap-up and drinks at the bar
Finger food will be available throughout the evening.

From the publisher:
[Perry: A Drinker's Guide] will help drinkers navigate the styles, flavours, varieties, countries, regions and producers behind this ancient and fascinating drink. Whether long-standing perry fans or those discovering perry for the very first time, the book offers a treasure trove of information. Although the biggest industrial brands are on the wane, around the world, consumers and producers are waking up to the brilliance, potential and variety to be found in perry and making better, more exciting full-juice perries than have ever been available before.
