Information:

PHAT Bristol are delighted to bering you the launch party for "Monkey", the brand new single from the exciting upcoming Bristol artist HECTOR WHO LIVED.

‘Monkey’ feels like a mature, dedicated and introspective release from an artist best known for light hearted and story based music. With Hector's dedicated array of musical achievements, access to a personal and extravagant track like ‘Monkey’ feels like an intimate treat; the space in the groove is remarkable, and the word play and vocal performance are heartfelt and deadly. The stand out feeling however, was that it sits close to Hector's soul, in a way that only solo releases can. ‘Monkey’ is a short and diverse journey leaving you wanting more; more releases and more ‘Monkey’.

Hector will be performing Monkey, as well as a choice selection of some of his other outstanding work, alongside his full band and support will be provided on the night by...

STANLÆY : STANLÆY is the brain child and alter-ego of musician, producer, artist, and composer Bethany Clare Mistlebrook Stenning where Bethany composes music both as a solo artist, and collaborating with other musicians / a live band to bring the music to a live environment. Fuelled by collaboration, landscapes (internal and external), cross-pollination and the synergy between the organic and the synthetic, Bethany is an unstoppable force of nature of multi-disciplinary form.

Her music has most recently appeared on BBC radio 6, BBC Bristol, BBC Introducing in the West, RTE Radio, British Airwaves Next Big Thing, and been hailed by local press; being described as "Joanna Newsom, Bjork and Janelle Monae wrapped into one woodland sprite." - Monolith Cocktail.

TEAH LEWIS : Sheffield based (but Bristol born!) singer-songwriter Teah Lewis plays sunsoaked, soulful originals channeling a sound that harks back to the likes of Vashti Bunyan and Joni Mitchell. Pairing wistful, thought-provoking lyrics with sweet intricate melodies Teah Lewis matches strong storytelling with beautiful moving vocals to create songs that grab the head and the heart. Teah has been making waves in the Sheffield music scene, having recently played the Tramlines Festival, and it is with great pleasure that we welcome her back to her home city for this evening!

In the intimate surroundings of The Cloak & Dagger on Cheltenham Road, this evening is sure to be a joyous affair filled with love and excitement. We're excited to see you there!
