SMTG 4: D.irt Collective at Cloak

A event held at Cloak on Monday 9th December. The event starts at 20:00.

We'll be welcoming you back for the 4th time to the intimate, living-room vibes of Cloak for the final talk in our residency.

The lovely Lisa will be joining us from D.irt Collective.

D.irt is a Bristol-based queer creative community creating opportunities and a network for Bristol's queer people of colour in the creative industries.

I worked with Lisa back in June for a Bristol24/7 article and she was super passionate and insightful talking about inclusivity in Bristol's queer scene and creative scene in particular.

We're going to be talking about representation, why it's important, Bristol's creative scene and some highlights and lessons learned from running a collective like D.irt

All proceeds from tickets will go to George Avill's Top Surgery, so your money is guaranteed to be going straight back into Bristol's LGBT+ Community.

Andy Leake is a freelance LGBT+ Culture Journalist, he works freelance as Bristol24/7's LGBT+ Editor, has written a book chapter on Bristol's LGBT+ Community for a book, Our City: Community Activism in Bristol, and also writes for Attitude Magazine

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
