Introspect presents is an offshoot in the form of a new dance music session steered by Bristol residents Lesula and RO-G1. The first of many in this new event series will take place within Bristol's newly refurbished venue ‘Cloak’, formally known as The Cloak and Dagger. An intimate setting coupled with heavyweight local sound system Dharma HiFi will no doubt make this one for the books. Expect percussive and club focussed sounds taking inspiration from the UK’s rich underground dance music heritage. For our first outing we have carefully picked some of Bristol finest established and up and coming selectors…
SSSLIP -
A mainstay within the Bristol party circuit, DJ and producer SSSLIP is an artist that provides crowds with high energy sets exploring different tempos and genres. The SSS label founder has been responsible for pushing out nothing short of quality music in the form of leftfield and broken techno that is absolutely made for destroying dancefloors. Having had releases on EC2A, Trax Haven, features on BBC R1 as well as hosting his own series of nights at The Love Inn expect to be in good hands.
Lily Huu -
A prolific DJ who is fast becoming one of Bristol's finest selectors specializing in bass driven music that is perfectly suited to the city’s surroundings. Lily Huu is an artist that has cemented her spot in the city's dance scene. Having supported the likes of Yung Singh, Dr Banana, and Interplanetary Criminal as well as performing at various festivals and events such as Boiler Room, Shall Not Fade, Loves Saves The Day and Secret Garden Party expect a DJ who is highly experienced in her craft.
Symeon (Out of Sorts) -
Expect label boss Symeon to take you all on a journey through sound that represents him and the artists that he has helped release music with. Out of Sorts is fast becoming one of Bristol's staple labels pushing out quality music that is percussive, broken and polyrhythmic yet perfectly suited to a weighty sound system and intimate club setting. Releases on the label include Dyselecta, Manami, Tano, Will Hofbauer and more. An absolute favorite of ours, expect an absolute clinical set from Syemon as his style is unique and operator-esque.

Since Introspects formation a couple of years ago, the pair have promoted introspect entirely as a mix series which has been broadcasted through stations such as Komrad and currently on Bristols very own Void Radio. With residencies at Glastonbury festivals very own Babylon Uprising as well as performing at events across Bristol and the UK expect these two to bring their skillset to Introspects opening night.
