Exhibition of Music: LTKD Fundraising Launch at Cloak
See event details

A event held at Cloak on Thursday 14th December. The event starts at 19:00.

Say hello to the new kid!

Let The Kid Dig (LTKD) is a start-up, grassroots music promotion group looking to amplify underrepresented talents, create non-intimidating environments within live music scenes and programme friendly, laid-back, forward-thinking gigs and events.

Focusing on genres such as Post-Punk, Hip-Hop, Spoken Word, Folk, Electro & experimental, LTKD prioritises creativity and expression, and pushes to explore the intersections between all styles and art forms, without elitism or judgement. We're also passionate about keeping the live music industry alive, as well as supporting the concept of authentic and affordable music making (fu*k hyper commercialisation!)

As a soft-launch to get the ball rolling, LTKD has reached out to local artists and musicians to showcase the wonderful world of visual arts and music. Do you appreciate the beauty of a banging album cover? Love collecting merch? Fascinated by archive photography of music sub-cultures? Or just fancy a nice thing to do on a winters eve? You might want to come down to Cloak on December 14th to explore an exhibition of music appreciation, including an open mic, merch stands and vinyls being spun upstairs. We might even get a little christmassy...

Please reserve a ticket so we can be aware of numbers, and if you have the funds spare, please consider making a donation - any profits will be going to Saffron Records and Bristol Refugee Rights.

This is also an opportunity to get involved with us, and we encourage anybody who wants to get their foot in the door of Bristol's music or events scene but doesn't know how, to pop down and have a chat.

PLEASE BE AWARE that the exhibition will take place in the basement which has no step-free access. The upstairs cafe where the open mic will take place is accessible. We apologise for any inconvenience, and please keep an eye out for future events that will be wheelchair friendly.

Let The Kid Dig operates with a zero tolerance policy to bigotry. Please to not attend our events if you do not respect our diversity policy, as we prioritise the safety and comfort of our artists and guests from marginalised communities.
