What a Drag Community & Burnout Support evening at Cloak

A event held at Cloak on Thursday 29th February. The event starts at 19:00.

We are burnt out! And we bet you are too. For this February run of What a Drag! we're taking a short cabaret break to bring you an evening of connection, relaxed socialising, and expression for your demotivation.

The evening program will be:

7:00 PM - INTRODUCTION
7:15 PM - UPSTAIRS: Banner making and BRISTOL QUEERS WITH PALESTINE community building
8:00 PM - DOWNSTAIRS: Yoga workshop One with ERNEST THE DRAG KING
8:30 PM - DOWNSTAIRS: Yoga Workshop Two with ERNEST THE DRAG KING
9:00 PM - Meditation led by Cloak
9:15 PM - Poetry for Rage with GENDER CRIMINAL
10:00 PM - Open Mic
11:00 PM - Closing Evening

This evening is catered towards folks who are organising for Palestine and communities impacted by state violence, but all are welcome to join.

We will be fundraising for Bristol Palestine Alliance and another Palestine solidarity fund, with all profits going to our chosen causes. Sliding scale tickets £5-15 and an option to pay it forward if you can't make it but would like to donate.

Please bring along your organising tasks if you'd like some community support. This could include writing to your MP or local councillor, purchasing an E SIM, Boycott lists, or your upcoming event in solidarity with Palestinian people.

No one turned away for lack of funds, please get in touch through House of Boussé's Instagram and we'll accommodate for you. No questions asked.

ACCESSIBILITY
Cloak can be accessed via a step into the venue, with a level access to the top floor once inside. There is another flight of stairs down to the basement with further banisters. This is where the yoga workshop is based. The rest of the evening activities will be upstairs in the venue, with seating available. There is a lip step to traverse into the venue, and the toilet upstairs at present is not accessible.

Please message us on @house_of_bousse on Instagram if you need anything before the event.

COVID-19
Please test before coming to the event if you can and it's accessible to you. Do not attend if you have a new sore throat, cough, fever, or feeling unwell. Let's keep our community safe!
